1) Which of the following elements would your plasmid require to be replicated in E. coli? CHECK ALL THAT APPLY a)The gene (including a functional promoter) for RNA polymerase b)The gene (including a functional promoter) for ampicillin resistance c)The gene (without a functional promoter) for RNA polymerase d)The gene (including a functional promoter) for penicillin resistance e)The gene (without a functional promoter) for penicillin resistance f)The gene (without a functional promoter) for ampicillin resistance 2) b) Which of the following elements would your plasmid require to allow you to select for cells containing the plasmid using the antibiotic ampicillin? CHECK ALL THAT APPLY a)Strong constitutive E. coli promoter b)Strong inducible E. coli promoter c)E. coli origin of replication d)A human origin of replication

I am apart away from this topic but i found this link just check it out.. http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/5190971ee4b0e4cd59c42f11 http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/5192e789e4b0d270317ec115
hope that helps you i know that giving direct answers is against OS but i just attached a link for you my friend
i think the options you gave have been exchanged between the questions..check them once
me..?
no..no @ahelpb2me
plasmid replication requires origin of replication and to select bacteria with ampicillin they need to have ampicillin resistance genes in them and those options are not seen in the respective questions
yeah i actually did. my bad. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP THOUGH GUYS!
