Critique my figure

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

what software did you use? you can rotate it a little bit

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Why is there red visible on the narrow end?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

what is your function? I'll try it on my end

OpenStudy (larseighner):

@nincompoop You mean with + z coming out of the page?

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

I always put z in the back but yeah z is sticking out

OpenStudy (larseighner):

It's done parametric x(u,v) = u y(u,v) = exp(u)*cos(v) z(u,v) = exp(u)*sin(v) u,exp(u)*cos(v),exp(u)*sin(v)

OpenStudy (larseighner):

The problem with rotating it is that the perspective tend to make the x range unclear, like x is ranging > 4. I have no idea why there is a red shadow on the low end.

OpenStudy (freethinker):

it is most likely a software issue
