I need your help on this question! :/ @IMStuck

Nnesha (nnesha):

can i help

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Ok, in order to get from H to H', you have a movement of (x-4, y-4), which means that the x coordinate moved to the left 4 units and the y coordinate also moved down 4 units. So move E accordingly.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Move E from (4,8) to (4-4, 8-4).

OpenStudy (imstuck):

E' is then (0, 4).

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Find the rule and apply it to all the points.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The rule is (x-4, y-4).

Nnesha (nnesha):

shouldn't it be (2,4)

Nnesha (nnesha):

bec (8 , 8) and when we multiply 8 by 1/2 we get 4 for both x and y same to the E we have ( 4 , 8) when we multiply 4 and 8 by 1/2 we get (2, 4) ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We are looking for the dilation of E , therefore E'. I think you're saying E= (2,4) but we aren't looking for E, we're trying to find E' . E' = 0,4 @IMStuck Thank you dear! :D
