Experiment: 1.In the lab activity, you will examine sound waves as they are emitted from a moving source. Predict what will happen to the sound waves when the sound source is in motion. Record your prediction (hypothesis) as an “if then” statement. (For example: If you select the GO button, then the train will move) My hypothesis: As the sound gets closer the volume with get higher Question: Did the experiment prove or disprove your hypothesis? Support your conclusion based on results from the experiment and your knowledge of sound waves.

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

The relative motion for sound source and observer is the result of change in apparent frequency is known as Doppler shift if the source come towards the observer apparent frequency will be greater then real frequency of the sound source and if move away from the source apparent frequency will be less then real source frequency of sound
