Soft drink company A surveys 500 randomly selected people to compare the taste of its new soft drink to the soft drink of its competitor, company B. In side-by-side taste tests, 232 people prefer soft drink A, 228 people prefer soft drink B, and 40 people had no opinion. Soft drink company A then reports the following: “People clearly prefer the taste of soft drink A.” Explain why this statistic is misleading.
