Find the rate of change of the function h(x) = 4x – 3 on the interval 0 ≤ x ≤ 1. The rate of change is (Blank)a0. ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you please explain im kinda confused :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you make x=0 what would the answer be to 4x-3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the other would be 1 right ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for x1 we have a value of 0 and its corresponding h(x1) = -3. Now for x2 we have a value of 1 so what would its value be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x2-x1 }{ h(x2)-h(x1) }\] Sorry wrote the equation wrong earlier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all good :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it just be 1 ?
