What is the solution set of this inequality? –2|n| + 3 > –7

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\normalsize\color{blue}{ –2|n| + 3 > –7}\) 1) subtract 3 from both sides, 2) divide both sides by `-2` and flip the sign, tell me what you get after that.... then use the rule that states \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ |x| > c~~~⇒~~~~~~~x>c ~~~~{\rm{and}~~~~x<-c} }\) and \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ |x| < c~~~⇒~~~~~~~-c<x<c}\)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

tell me if you need more help.
