OpenStudy (amistre64):

you are given 3 points, see which option they fit

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we can narrow the options if we know how the graph behaves. graphs decrease for values between 0 and 1 as the 'rate'.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it D?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you mean the last one, the points dont fit for that: 3(1/2)^(2-1) is not 9

OpenStudy (amistre64):

27(1/3)^(2-1) does = 9, and the other points fit it as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But do you plug in the points given?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you can, thats a good way to check it out

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i notice that the options are all exponent functions the graph gets smaller as x gets bigger, so the value being exponeted has to be between 0 and 1 .. only 2 options work testing the point 2,9: 3/2 = 9 is false, so 27/3 = 9 has to be the one we want

ohhhhhhhh ok now i get lol thank you for your help! :)
