Japan: when japan surrendered they were naturaly ruled by the americans who saw the destruction done by the atomic bomb as two cities were whiped out. in the first few weeks they didnt help the japs becaus the marines and navy was in charge but after that, the american goverment send special teams to help and rebuild japan. the benefits were these:
1.the soviet union and america were not get along very well after the war and so a strong american influenced country in the pacific would help america if there was ever a russian attack.
2. japan had a big wool import and export as well as fish which the suplies were getting less in america
thats japan done for you! The Marshall Plan was US economic aid supplied to European countries to help rebuild their infrastructure and economies after WW2.

Rather than just giving money, Marshall Aid was in the form of manufactures, commodities, and technical expertise.Countries told US what they needed - fuel, food,tractors,engineers and so on - and the US supplied these things direct.

Marshall Aid was offered to all European countries, but Stalin stopped those under Soviet control from accepting. The impact was to help kickstart the economies of Western European countries, and showed that capitalism was capable of providing a social and economic model better than Communism, and was a clear Western victory in the early stages of the Cold War.
