Fill in each missing step. Given: mÐPQR = x– 5, mÐSQR = x – 11, and mÐPQS = 100. Find x.
Drawing not to scale. mÐPQR +mÐSQR = mÐPQS a. __________ x– 5 + x– 11 = 100 b. Substitution Property 2x– 16 = 100 c. Simplify 2x = 116 d. __________ x = 58 e. Division Property of Equality
Select one: a. Angle Addition Postulate; Subtraction Property of Equality b. Protractor Postulate; Addition Property of Equality c. Angle Addition Postulate; Addition Property of Equality d. Protractor Postulate; Subtraction Property of Equality
@johnweldon1993 @989freak @SolomonZelman can you guys help please ?
Well since we are indeed adding the angles to show that the whole angle is equal to the sum of the 2 smaller angles, the first choice would indeed be Angle Addition Postulate. Any ideas on the second?
Hint* the correct answer is not provided in that step, we are dividing, not adding or subtracting
im thinking a ... ?
@johnweldon1993 : so none of the answer choices are correct ?
None of them...if they were "division property of equality " then yes, but nope
well these are my only options & i dont know what to do ...
