factor 5x^2+12x-32
try doing it by yourself. look for numbers that multiplying gives 5x^2 also the other numbers.
5x^2 + 12x - 32 First, multiply the A term by the C term, or 5 and -32 to get -160 Now, find factors of -160 which add up to be 12 (the B term). These are 20 and -8. Split the B term into these: 5x^2 + 20x - 8x - 32 Now, group: (5x^2 + 20x) - (8x + 32) Factor each separately: 5x(x + 4) - 8(x + 4) Re-group using the common term and you get: (5x - 8) * (x + 4)
