Medal & fan for help :) The following two angles are supplementary. Use this fact to first solve for x, then the value of each angle. mÐ1 = 12x + 35 mÐ2 = 3x – 5 a. x = 5; 155º; 25º b. x = 5; 125º; 55º c. x = 10; 155º; 25º d. x = 10; 125º; 55º

OpenStudy (mikurout):

supplementary angle means if you add up two numbers then you will get 180. So add mD1 and mD2 .You will get a equation . from that equation find the value of x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mikurout , so i would add 12x & 3x ?

OpenStudy (mikurout):

your equation is 12x+35+3x-5 = 180 solve it to get the value of x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i would combine like terms ?

OpenStudy (mikurout):

@ninaesb . yes . Add 12x with 3x you will get 15x. then add 35 with -5 you will get 30 so your final equation is 15x+30 = 180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x=10 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mikurout

OpenStudy (mikurout):

@ninaesb . Yes, You are right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mikurout is it c ?

OpenStudy (mikurout):

@ninaesb yes, You are right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :) can you help me through a couple more ?

OpenStudy (mikurout):
