can someone please please check my work? Will fan and give medal! sin(tan^-1(4/3)) a. the hypotenuse would be 5 b. Angle theta is the angle whose tangent is 4/3 . Find the sine of angle theta. for that i have a hard time understanding

OpenStudy (anonymous):

45 degrees?

myininaya (myininaya):

now what is sin(theta)?

myininaya (myininaya):

recall sin(theta)=opp side of theta/hyp

myininaya (myininaya):

what measurement is for the opp side of theta?

myininaya (myininaya):

what is the hyp measurement?

myininaya (myininaya):

all of this is actually already given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sine theta here is 4/5 and my hyp=5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes, i do realize that now!

myininaya (myininaya):

right sin(theta)=4/5

myininaya (myininaya):

they are basically giving you a way to evaluate sin(tan^-1(4/3))

myininaya (myininaya):

you know like without a calculator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. is correct. The actual angle value in degress is not necessary. The sine is 4 over 5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, degress should be degrees.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright, thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your welcome.

myininaya (myininaya):

i don't think this was a multiple choice question...
