ok and how??? I was taught this rule that "one another" is used when more than 2 ppl are there and "each other" when only 2 ppl are there.
The answer doesn't fit in with this rule? :(
I don't know why but my teachers always prefer it that way. It may be wrong I am just going with what I have been told.
I know that the answer is one another but why @jessicabraham2000 anything u recall or is this an exception???
No, what I said about my teacher actually happened. She said that when we say one another it is proper English.
oh ok thanks
To answer the original question: If there are only two, then use "each other." If there are more than two, use "one another."
@LarsEighner i know, but rami and nina are 2 ppl. but the answer is one another ?? This is what confuses me.
The answer is wrong if it says anything other than "each other."
Recent usage may make "one another" acceptable when talking about two people. But acceptable is not the same thing as correct. To teach that "one another" is correct or somehow preferable to "each other" is perverse.
ok thanks
