It looks like a a hot pad that I used in chem. Put 4 fingers in one side and your thumb in the other to pick up hot stuff. :)

@JoannaBlackwelder Well its actually an assignment where my teacher gave use 24 things that we had to find the names of without any knowledge of them, I found all of them but this one.
