Because this triangle is a right triangle, we can use the Pythagorean theorem:\[a^{2}+b^{2}=c^{2}\], where a and b are the legs (short sides, 3 and 4 above), and c is the hypotenuse (longest side, x above). BTW, I can't go as far as I used to, I got warned by a mod not to give people answers.
