I suggest making Open Study clubs ^_^ just like a normal school.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mathematics is a great example of how to get around the clubs ^_^ See when you click on math there are different sections like Algebra, calculus, etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are some examples of some clubs that could be made: 1. Chess club 2. Drum line 3. Piano (I can help on this one) 4. Track 5. Cross country

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i like this idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I could help with lacrosse, track, and maybe cross country. im into those sports a lot. good idea captain!

OpenStudy (gir_lover_♥):

only 4and 5 r interesting

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

How exactly would the clubs be set up and everything like that?

OpenStudy (gir_lover_♥):

did u discuss this with preetha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WE COULD DO A ANTI BULLY CLUB bc ppl on here are mean

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

how would this even work, like esshotwired said, how would they be set up and stuff?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well we have tons of resources like face book or other social media we could set up chat rooms to discuss and talk to the openstudy facebook people and ask if we can put things on home page for clubs

OpenStudy (jgirl128):

that's true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it could work.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

How would this even work?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Yes, what would this club be all about ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anti bully math science general study anything really current events debate club

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

anti-bully is how OS should always be without clubs, no ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well its not. ive dealt with it everyday on here

OpenStudy (esshotwired):

I honestly don't see how this could work out :/

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

If OS is bully, with club we are just going to have a place for bullies - OS club, and yes, there would be less bullies on OS itself once they are in the club, but then it would be a bully-club or something like that... -:(

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

but club, on a study site ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think its brilliant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I love track, cross country, and lacrosse but how exactly does it relate to studying. not that the chats ever relate to the correct subject :P

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

We can chat, or do some other things beside studying, but this site is designed for studying, and we aren't supposed to add literally EVERYTHING to it. What's next, OS store, OS supermarket, OS what ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no but its also to interact with other kids. setting up clubs would make it easier to have kids with similar interests come together

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

This isn't OpenStudy's responsibility. This site can't be everything. People come here to study, mods add improvements to the site and fix issues. We help people learn more and answer their problems, but clubs would make it something very different. There are other things that have to be fixed or most people want on OS that are some more basic things that are directly related to study. Perhaps it is a good idea to make such a club, but I would disagree.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i understand

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also maybe Open Study can make its own Football or Basketball team

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol footballs are enough and basketball same :)

OpenStudy (ryguy):

4 and 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0. nothing

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

OS can't make a sport team, unless it is an online sport xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I like openstudy the way it is ㅡㅡ you are too obsessed with sports lol

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I played on a basketball team in 11th grade, and when I play with people they are still amazed why I got less than a minute per (a 40 minute) game.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rock it Solomon

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Well, this is just me, and it wasn't online... on OS I hope I would get more than that ;)

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

tnx

OpenStudy (compassionate):

But aren't study-groups practically clubs? We have a maths section were you can discuss anything related to mathematics... These sections just aren't for questions... So I don't see the practicality of this.

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

This isnt a School... Think of it like a library where people help each other out... We cannot make clubs you need physical stuff to make clubs... Though i do agree with the chess club... we can make a on-the-side chess software or a chess study group... It would be interesting

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree @camerondoherty

OpenStudy (anonymous):

James Carter you better join school clubs since you suggested even on an online site :)) I got my eyes on you ㅡㅡ got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

el oh el e.e

thomaster (thomaster):

worst idea ever xD you can't make clubs in a virtual community, there's no way to organize physical meetings, and that's what clubs are about... kinda.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Everyone has their own opinions anyways.
