Please help me!
it is that each side should have the same ratio to its corresponding side like 62.5 divided by 12.5 should equal 52 divided by 10 and 62.3 divided by 12.5 should equal 13 divided by 2.5
which one out of the two lines I listed does not turn out to be true? that is the mistake.
62.5/12.5 = 5 52/ 10 = 5.2 62.3/12.5 = 4.984 13/2.5 = 5.2
oh wait sorry I meant 62.3/12.5 for the second one... but anyways you can see that there are two ratios of 5.2 and one ratio of 5 so the one with the 5 has the mistake
So how would I format my answer?
hmmm In similar figures, corresponding sides must have uniform ratios we can find these ratios by dividing one corresponding side by the other, and the ratio that does not match the other two would have the mistake. To correct the mistake, we should multiply the smaller of the corresponding side that contains the mistake with the correct ratio and change the larger side to that product.
I have a question which equation did you mean 62.3/12.5 for?
I made another typo sorry, it's the 62.5/12.5 = 5 does that make more sense?
62.5/12.5 = 5 13/2.5 = 5.2 52/10 = 5.2 so 62.5/12.5 = 5 is the mistake then 12.5*5.2 = 65 so we should change the 62.5 to a 65
62.5/12.5 = 5 52/ 10 = 5.2 62.3/12.5 = 4.984 13/2.5 = 5.2 these are my equations could you show me where that one goes
OH
I see thank you!
^_^ sorry for the confusion
