You are given with one angle.. ie 12 Degrees.. So, let the side opposite to 12 Degree angle is c. You have three sides as : 10 inches, 9 inches and c inches, you have to find the value of c now. Using Cosine Rule: \[c^2 = 10^2 + 9^2 - 2(10 \times 9)\cos(12^{\circ})\]
