Parth (parthkohli):

TL;DR: - Arithmetic mean is when you insert terms such that the resulting sequence is in arithmetic progression. Example: two arithmetic means of 1 and 4 are 2, 3 because 1, 2, 3, 4 are in AP. - Geometric mean is when you insert terms such that the resulting sequence is in geometric progression. Example: two geometric means of 1 and 8 are 2, 4 since 1, 2, 4, 8 are in GP. --- The math of it can be seen in hartnn's tutorial.
