In the following passage, which is the MOST likely meaning of trite? The language was TRITE and unoriginal. How many times can I read, “Her lips were red as a rose”? I want to yawn every time I read such clichés. As a reader I want fresh language. I want to be entertained. Don’t give me fancy, flowery language if it’s been done to death. Be original. exciting boring fancy interesting
