A doesn't make sense because adam smith was a capitalist, B I don't believe is correct because thomas malthus believed that famine and disease would be limited but population growth meant that an utopian society couldn't happen, D doesn't make sense because if you're wages increase, your profits don't decrease. C seems to make the most sense.
