Same happens with medals for me not sure about notifications since right now it's only on people I've fanned, though it's not too big of a deal for me either xD.

OS uses Amazon AWS servers, that's the very opposite of garbage.
Not a single problem on OS has anything to do with the servers.

then why is is it constantly crashing ?????????????????????????? ik that im not the only one fir example i cant even get into my original accowingspan everytime i do it lags out ..... GARBAGE

If an individual account becomes inaccessible due to "lagging out", it's most likely corrupted by something. Email contact@openstudy.com about that, they can fix it.

The site is slow because of scalability issues. The site wasn't developed for the amount of users that it has today. And it hasn't really changed in the last 1-1.5 years.
Currently the dev/tech team is working to fix this problem. They should be done when the new schoolyear starts (so I've heard).
