A pair of dice is rolled. What are the odds of rolling a sum of 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heres a start list out all the ways you can get a sum of four when you roll 2 dice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just confused because it says "the odds of rolling a sum of 4 are _ to _

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you have 12 that will be your denominator So lets see what adds up to 4 1+3 2+2 So if there are 2 chances and your denomination is 12 \[\frac{ 2 }{ 12 }=\frac{ 1 }{ 6 }\] 2/12 can be simplfies to 1/6 so 1/6 is our answer c:
