What are some tricks that you use in order to remember things ? @Kainui @agreene @Nanalew @emcrazy14 @Compassionate @chrisisdope1 @bakonloverk @agreene
What type of things? lol
I use this small trick called "understanding".
Personally, I remember things rather easily in general. Practice helps me remember things, and knowing how things work
Convert words to pictures
@agreene Things such as homework, or studying for a test
Heres a really good reference to the kind of questions your asking :D It explains the memory process and specifics like the question you just asked. Check it out it explains it better than I can :D http://www.sparknotes.com/psychology/psych101/memory/section1.rhtml
One thing that helps with memory is always doing things the same: sit in the same place in each class, study in the same place etc. Also, you can use associations to help your brain know something abstract from something else that is abstract... For example: Chewing gum of different flavours in class/studying different subjects or only doing physics and math while listening to classical music and english and spanish listening to pop or w/e music styles you like.
The section called enhancing memory brings up some of the "tricks" for example chunking, mnemonics, acronyms, acrostics, narrative methods, rhymes, visual imagery, method of loci, the link method, and peg word method. :D http://www.sparknotes.com/psychology/psych101/memory/section4.rhtml
