Nnesha (nnesha):

help me please

Nnesha (nnesha):

A circle is rotated about its diameter of 10 ft. Find the volume of the solid derived.

Nnesha (nnesha):

@agreene can you help me in this one please

OpenStudy (agreene):

so, remember that for a sphere \[V=\frac43\pi r^3\] we have a \(D=10ft\) so make that a radius and plug in

Nnesha (nnesha):

i got 418.67

Nnesha (nnesha):

we have diameter which is 10 so radius is half of diameter so doesn't i need to plug 5 ???

OpenStudy (agreene):

yes r=5 418.67 isn't correct though

Nnesha (nnesha):

104.67

Nnesha (nnesha):

is that r square or cube ??

OpenStudy (agreene):

cubed r ^ 3

Nnesha (nnesha):

oh ok i got 523.3

Nnesha (nnesha):

thank you soo much :) :) :)

OpenStudy (agreene):

yeah that should be around the right amount, i didnt go to decimal, lol \[\frac{500 \pi}3\] was my answer, should be around 523
