Nnesha (nnesha):

please help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay what do you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a cylinder.. so what is the equation of a cylinder?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pi times radius squared times the height

Nnesha (nnesha):

how we know that we should use lateral area or surface area or volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the question is asking to find the volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you going to use the approximation 3.14 for pi?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oaky so we are going to do 3.14 times (1.5)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why 1.5? well the diameter of the circle is 3 so the so radius has to be 1.5 because 3 divided by two is 1.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.5 times 1.5 is..2.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

Nnesha (nnesha):

7.065 ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup that is what 3.14 times 2.25 equals... we have one more step though. we have to multiply 7.065 by 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why? that is the height what do you get when you multiply 7.065 by 4?

Nnesha (nnesha):

28.26

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

goodjob!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer is 28.26 ft cubed

Nnesha (nnesha):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup im glad to help again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just tag me whenever you need help again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course!!! its 11:32 pm right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im a night owl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh sorry continue typing

Nnesha (nnesha):

oh so i can ask more question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

of course!!! i am always available but i will be heading to bed around midnight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just tag me when you need me, or message me
