What is the center of the circle that has a diameter whose endpoints are (2, 7) and (-6, -1)?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

The center of the circle would be the midpoint of the endpoints of the diameter. Do you know how to find a midpoint?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no clue man

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

Ok. Add up the x-coordinates of the endpoints, then divide by 2. And do the same for the y-coordinates.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2,3

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

You got it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks big time

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):
