okay first off let me just say i am an ancient history guy and dont know that much about modern
could you help me on this then? Which type of change—political, social, or economic—had the most impact on Southern life? Which type of change—political, social, or economic—faced the most challenges? Why were Southerners against this type of change? For the first hundred years of the United States, only white males were able to vote. Since then, amendments to the Constitution have made it so that any citizen aged 18 or older can vote. Which amendments granted different groups the right to vote? Why were amendments needed to expand voting rights?

thats what you mean right???
we posted it at the same time haha, and yes!
hhahhahah OMG we totally did i didnt even notice :D
we think alike :D
"The Reconstruction era after the civil war had the most impact on Southern life because it was an attempt to bring back the Confederate states back into the Union and help the former slaves. It failed because many white people there did not want an alien power telling them what to do. They passed Jim Crow laws to segregate people by race. Also they had racist organizations like the Klu Klux Klan to terrify the former slaves and prevent them from speaking out. "
"The Civil Rights change faced the most challenges because it questioned the norms of Southern life already familiar to most people, like segregation. Efforts to stop segregation were met with violent resistance. There were violent mobs to threaten the movement, like the Little Rock Nine who had to be protected by soldiers. Also activists in the movement were injured or killed, like Martin Luther King, Jr. "
"The amendments granted to different groups to vote were the 15th (slaves), 19th (women), and the 26th (18+). Amendments were needed to expand voting rights because people started thinking that those groups deserved a chance to be heard, and also because of the petitioning of the right to vote by those groups."
