Why did the United States agree to "Europe First" strategy?

because the war in Europe was already nearly won by this time

because its priority was to help its allies first defeat the Nazis

because the War in the Pacific had not yet reached critical proportions

because the Allies would fight Japan if the United States did not help

It's sort of in the name itself "Europe First" it's because the priority was to help its allies first defeat the Nazis.
