Medal and fan c; What are the trigonometric functions and their inverses?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know the functions.... i just dont remember the inverses...

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

u mean like sinx,cosx them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes! but i dont know the inverses...

OpenStudy (juanpablojr):

see if this helps http://www.themathpage.com/atrig/inverseTrig.htm#relations

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

yeah \[1/sinx=cosecx\] \[1/cosx=secx\] \[1/tanx=cotx\] those are inverses of sinx, cosx tanx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thanks you guys!!

OpenStudy (juanpablojr):

Isn't it like a opposite like negative. \[\cos^{-1} \] \[\sin^{-1} \] etc that's what I thought but no probs.

OpenStudy (sidsiddhartha):

yeah if u want inverse functions then take a example like \[x=\sin \theta\] then\[\theta=\sin^{-1} x\] like this

OpenStudy (juanpablojr):

Oh right! I haven't don't this is a while so I forgot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh i got it right!
