OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why is the cell theory a theory and not a law? The cell theory explains the natural world. The cell theory describes the natural world. The cell theory has not been tested enough by the scientific community. The cell theory has not been accepted by the scientific community.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

all science is incomplete, not incorrect but incomplete. new stuff is discovered all the time. everything is adapting and evolving with new info and evidence. nothing is a verity. only postulation and conjecture. of 2 things i am certain, the indefiniteness of the universe and the stupidity of humanity - and i am not sure about the universe.

OpenStudy (mokeira):

A scientific theory is an explanation based upon the evidence available. it is not a law, because more things about the cell can be discovered, within time.
