The zero-product property states that for all real numbers a and b, if a • b = 0, _____. 1. a=0 and b=0 2. a=0 or b=0 3. neither a=0 nor b=0 4. a and b are greater than 1

1 and 2 are the same

Think through the answers. 1 could be correct, but it becomes virtually meaningless as both are nothing. 3 couldn't be true- If you multiply something by the next best thing, you can have a minimum of that number. 4 is pretty much the same thing, but with larger numbers. So the answer must be 2.

but the answer is A or B has to be either 0 or both of them 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i agree, 2

thankyou for the help:)
