What is the sum of the geometric sequence -4, 24, -144, ... if there are 7 terms?

okay for this one you know that each term is being multiplied by 6. so you already have three terms. you need four more so, multiply -144 by 6. which will give you the fourth term, multiply the fourth term by 6 to get the fifth term, and then multiply by 6 again to get the 6th term and then once more to get the sevent term and add all teh numbers up and there is your sum

4th term: -144 * -6 --> 864 5th term: -5184 6th term 31104 7th term: -186624 sum : -159964
