The coordinate plane below represents a city. Points A through F are schools in the city. graph of coordinate plane. Point A is at 1, 3. Point B is at 3, 1. Point C is at 3, negative 3. Point D is at negative 4, 2. Point E is at negative 1, 5. Point F is at negative 3, negative 3. Part A: Using the graph above, create a system of inequalities that only contain points B and C in the overlapping shaded regions. Explain how the lines will be graphed and shaded on the coordinate grid above. (5 points) Part B: Explain how to verify that the points B and C are solutions to the system of ine

I will medal and fan!

@beachkid I closed the question. I have this and a few more questions that are apart of the assignment.. Can you just answer?

OpenStudy (beachkid):

well it says to make a system of inequalities tht only contain points B and C. so can you make a system of inequalities?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. here, ill figure that one out.. heres another one. can you just answer? The table below shows the square roots of different numbers: Number (x) 4 4 9 9 Square root (y) 2 -2 3 -3 Part A: Does the table represent y as a function of x? Justify your answer. (5 points) Part B: The total cost f(x), in dollars, for renting a car for a week and driving it x miles is shown below: f(x) = 90 + 0.11x What is the value of f(300), and what does f(300) represent? (5 points)

@tester97

OpenStudy (beachkid):

The table looks right but 4 cant be -2 and 9 cant be -3 unless you forgot the negatives in the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it wouldnt be a function then right?

OpenStudy (beachkid):

i dont think it can be a function i could be wrong though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Part b?

OpenStudy (beachkid):

so part b says f(300) and it saying what it represents so f(300) looks like its the total cost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Answer

OpenStudy (beachkid):

oh the value i forgot about that lol so be it like this\[f(300)=90+0.11(300)\]

The graph below shows the distance (y) in kilometers of two cars from their destination at different times (x) in minutes. The table shows the values plotted on the graph. graphs of y is equal to 50 minus x and y is equal to 50 multiplied by 0.98 to the power of x Time (in minutes) x 0 10 20 30 40 50 Car 1 (in km) y 50 40 30 20 10 0 Car 2 (in km) y 50 40.85365 33.3804 27.2742 22.285 18.2085 Part A: What does the x-intercept of the function for car 1 represent? (2 points) Part B: What does the y-intercept of the function for car 2 represent? (2 points) Part C: What is the domain of the functions for car 1 and car 2? (2 points) Part D: What is the average rate of change from x = 20 to x = 40 for the function representing the motion for car 2? What does the value of this average rate of change represent? (4 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its this one and one more. then we are done!

OpenStudy (beachkid):

alright let me see what i can do for this one

OpenStudy (beachkid):

Part A: its the time to reach the destination basically but in KM

OpenStudy (beachkid):

part B: its the distance ill be right back

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have a couple more minutes!! HURRRRRRY!

OpenStudy (beachkid):

alright im back i cant figure out part c and d
