Ok, I was having a really hard time solving this dumb thing for r, so what I did was use the formula and try interest rates and got that the interest rate of 4.2% works.

It wasn't a PITA, though.  I used this formula$$A=P(1+\frac{ r }{ n })^{nt}$$It worked out perfectly with that.
