CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE? LAST QUESTION!!! Circle X has a center of (−2, 8) and a radius of 6. Circle Y has a center of (4, 2) and a radius of 3. Prove that the two circles are similar.

@BaltM @DoShKa_SyRiA @lolabieber @HelpOfTheGods @Australopithecus @kelgendi1 @Somy @JayMartinez @jack88 @nikato @Hero @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (nikato):

did you graph the circles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no @nikato idk how to

OpenStudy (nikato):

ok. well... you dont really need the graph. it'll just be nice to provide the diagram but unnessary you should know that the radius is the same all around the circle. so any line segement from the center to the circle would always be the same. so picking any radius on either circle would always 6 to 3 ratio

OpenStudy (nikato):

|dw:1407564580435:dw|

OpenStudy (nikato):

|dw:1407564607606:dw| ratio is always 6 to 3

OpenStudy (nikato):

another thing is that it is a known fact that all circles are similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so @nikato , what I would write would be something like... The ratio is always 6 to 3 Is that correct?

OpenStudy (nikato):

yea. any pair of radius you pick would always have a ratio 6 to 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What would be my explanation for that though @nikato and thank you for your patience especially since its 2: 13 in the morning

OpenStudy (nikato):

sometime like because the ratio of their radius is always 6 to 3, they are also proportional which means that they are similar. and really? different time zone. only 11:20 PM here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

holy crap where do u live?

OpenStudy (nikato):

california. you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

florida :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I gtg to bed im super tired. usually I can stay up later but ive been finishing up my last semester of flvs geometry all day. so thanks for all ur patience and help. goodnight and have a great 4th of July (which was last month) Bye :)

OpenStudy (nikato):

no problem. good night and good luck in school i still have a week left before school starts again. haha
