Nnesha (nnesha):

help me to figure out

OpenStudy (nikato):

What'd the probability of being picked in the first class?

Nnesha (nnesha):

2/26

OpenStudy (nikato):

In the first class with 20 students. Only one student is being picked so 1/20 What about the other class

Nnesha (nnesha):

1/26

Nnesha (nnesha):

1/520

OpenStudy (nikato):

Yea. I think that's the answer

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ok, for these two people, will it matter what the people in front of them watch?

OpenStudy (nikato):

So if you were waiting in line to watch something like hunger games with your friends, would what the people in front of you wanna watch affect what u wanna watch

Nnesha (nnesha):

no

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ok. So independent or dependent? Or do you not know what these terms mean?

Nnesha (nnesha):

in math i'm confuse

OpenStudy (nikato):

U were right, independent

Nnesha (nnesha):

can you explain uniform and not uniform

OpenStudy (nikato):

Independent- where one event doesn't affect the other like flipping a coin Dependent -where one event affects the other Like picking a card out of a deck and not putting it back in and then picking another

Nnesha (nnesha):

ok now i got that thanks :)

OpenStudy (nikato):

Uniform-when all the events/situations have an equal chance of occurring Non-when one event has a higher or lower chance of occurring

OpenStudy (nikato):

Yes if it's for both dies. The even numbers have a higher chance of occurring

Nnesha (nnesha):

thanks

OpenStudy (nikato):

You're welcome
