Write an equation whose graph has the indicated property: The graph has intercepts at x=-4, x=3, and x=8

OpenStudy (crashonce):

when a graph has intercepts -4 and 3, y=(x+4)(x-3) not sure what u mean by x=8

OpenStudy (crashonce):

so is this a parabola then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It has to have intercepts at all points. I have no idea, I'm just typing out the question. :c

OpenStudy (crashonce):

oh @ShadowLegendX ive no idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can I just say like (x-4)*(x+3)*(x+8)????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or the opposite signs?

OpenStudy (crashonce):

probably not but im not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually looked in the back of my book (yes, I cheated) and it actually says that was the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks anyway!
