Just try your points in both inequalities, if the replacement turn out to be true for both of the inequalities, then that's your answer. For example Point A(1,1) \[y \le 2*(1)-5\] which implies \[y \le -3\] And your second inequality \[y > -3*(1)\] which implies \[y > -3\] As the second one is strict, there's no intersection and that point does not belong to the solution.
