What is the simplified form of the quantity x squared minus 5x plus 6 over 15 x y squared all over the quantity 2x squared minus 7x plus 3 over 5 x squared y ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you still need help on this @Spidey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes Please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me get this correct. The numerator and denominator both are fractions right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Want the answer only or want me to explain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Both I will give a medal

Answer: x(x-2) ------- 3y(2x-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First you multiply the reciprocal so you get x^2-5x+6 over 15xy^2 times 5x^2y over 2x^2-7x+3 Then, you can factor to get (x-3)(x-2) over 15xy^2 times 5x^2y over (2x-1)(x-3) Then you simplify 15xy^2 and 5x^2y and cross cancel (x-3) to get the final answer I gave. Hopefully that makes sense.

Thanks but can you help me on this question: What is the oblique asymptote of the function f(x) = the quantity of x squared plus x minus 2, all over x plus 1? (Another medal will be given)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually don't know that one :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That okay later
