Fan And Medal ! In which of the following ways is DNA replication similar to transcription?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

New cells are created after both have happened. Cytosine pairs with guanine in both. Both take place in the cell cytoplasm. Both create new DNA strands.

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

Hey i wont tell you the answer exactly because i know you can work it out :D i have faith!!!! lol okay so DNA rep. and trans. are similar in the facts that both copy the DNA strand. now of cause dna is an exact identical copy. whereas transcription is the "complementary copy". Whats more, during both replication and transcription the DNA molecule "unzips" and a new strand of mesenger RNA/DNA is created

OpenStudy (praetorian.10):

so contrary to what i said before i kinda did tell you the answer but i really hope i helped you understand it as well :D
