A right, rectangular prism has a length, width, and height that are all equal. The volume of the prism is 1331 cubic meters. Find the surface area of this prism.
first find the length of one side. because the sides are all equal, \[v=(side) \times (side) \times (side)\] so basically \[v=(side)^{3}\] so \[1331=(side)^{3}\] to get one side, find the cube root \[side=\sqrt[3]{1331} = 11\] so surface area will be \[(11 \times 11)\] for one face. but there are 6 faces so multiply your answer by 6
Can you help me with this? Find the area and perimeter of the polygon with vertices A( 3, 0), B(3, 4), C(5, 1), and D(-1,-3 ). a. area = 26 units ; perimeter = units b. area = 13 units ; perimeter = units c. area = 13 units ; perimeter = units d. area = 26 units ; perimeter = units
It is area of one face..but there are 6 faces @jhonyy9
yes sotty i not have learned your next lines
first plot it to see what shape it is
@ mokeria okay...
|dw:1407771811711:dw| kinda like this shape @Mokeira
thats not right..what are the coordinates of D?
-1, -3 @Mokeira
mine looks like this |dw:1407772241545:dw|
have you plotted D well?
no
did you get something like mine
now i did get something that looks more like yours
yeah... divide it insuch a way that you get two triangles...then work with those to make things easier...I have to go but when i get back i will check in on you
oh gosh. okay well I don't know if i can do this I have no idea how to do this at all... thanks for the help anyway
@fionacndg you there?
@Mokeira yes I am
have you solved it or do you still need help?
I still need help
hello?
im sending you somethin now
you might have to zoom in
still working on area
okay... so here are answers..
