OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. A square has all congruent sides. =60cm (as shown) the cut out of the square divides into 30cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the answer 1800?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Formula for finding the area of a square is A= a2

Do you have multiple choice answers or a direct input?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe the first one. But I am not exactly sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what i think ty for the help! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get your answer the first time , before your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did 60 times 60 and then divided it by 2 lol and i kept getting 1800 any ways i tried to figure it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. Well I hope our answer is correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I get b as my answer. I calculated the area of the square, 60*60=3,600. Then I calculated the area of the triangle, 1/2*60*30 = 900. Then I subtracted the area of the triangle from the area of the square, 3,600-900 =2,700
