How did the Church get wealthy during the Bubonic Plague?

Well I don't they necessarily became "wealthy" during the Bulbonic Plague, but rather gained attention from the common.. the Church also did many ignorant things such as blaming other religions for the start of the Plague.. however I don't think they became wealthy. Well, maybe if they sold ''healing'' or methods for them to get money like the Church did with Indulgences.
