explain literal interpretive and evaluative questions. Then come up with a question for each for your protagonist in Tuesdays with Morrie. Please help
These two types of questions are usually linked to a passage of text, in order to either help a student learn, or to assess comprehension and critical thinking skills. Consider this text: Avery delighted in the crunch and crackle of the red, orange and yellow leaves under her feet as she walked home from school, but she failed to look both ways before crossing the street. A literal question can be answered solely by referencing the text itself. An example of a literal question for the above text is, "What colors were the leaves?" (Red, orange and yellow). An evaluative question seeks a judgment by the answerer, such as the value, worth, or truth of the text or its contents. An example of an evaluative question for the above text is, "What did Avery do wrong?" I haven't read Tuesday with Morrie, but i could look up spark notes to try and help you out.
Heres a good link that includes interpretive questions as well :D http://englishclass.homestead.com/literalinterpeval.html
