Part D: If you wanted a really steep hill for your roller coaster, would you use the graph of y = –2x2 + 6 or y = (-1/10)x2 + 6? Why? What part of the expression affected the steepness?You would use the graph of y= -2x^2 + 6. This graph has the parabola not as stretched out so it would be a steeper way up. The part of the expression that affected the steepness would be, the coefficient part of -2x^2.
