The local library asked Reese's art class to paint a mural on a wall of the library. For the background, they painted a large square and used enough paint to cover fifty-five feet squared. How long is one side of the square rounded to the nearest whole number? 5 feet 6 feet 7 feet 8 feet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is d

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

Jesse's soccer team volunteers to lay mulch on the ground for padding at the local playground. Each bag of mulch will cover 10ft^2. If the playground is a square that is 20 ft on each side, how many bags of mulch will they need? 4 5 10 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does 10ft^2 mean 2/10

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

it means 10 feet squared

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh lol sry

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

its ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is D :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

20 x 2 = 40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

think about it i took this math last year and i loved it. :)

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

pre-algebra i hate it next

Whitemoster can help she is really smart

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

ok

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

So you need help with that screenshot you posted, right?

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im having a brain fart bunny i havent done this in like a year i think lol

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

The easiest way to figure this one out is to graph out all of those points.

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

Kind of a pain to do, but that's what you've got to do.

OpenStudy (mlgpro):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g2g in a bit

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

I made an imaginary graph, and it seems as if the second choice is the only one that is a rectangle but not a square. The last one is also close, you'd have to graph them out to see which is more of a rectangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think b bunny your right :)

whitemonsterbunny17 (whitemonsterbunny17):

I could actually draw a graph with each of the coordinates.. hold on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@superhelp101 do you have anything to add?
