(8x + 9)(x2 - 5x + 4)

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

these are a pain in the butt...what you have to do is multiply everything in the first parenthesis by everything in the second parenthesis. 8x(x^2 - 5x + 4) = 8x^3 - 40x^2 + 32x 9(x^2 - 5x + 4) = 9x^2 - 45x + 36 so we have : 8x^3 - 40x^2 + 32x + 9x^2 - 45x + 36 combine like terms 8x^3 - 31x^2 - 13x + 36
