The functions f(x) and g(x) are shown below: f(x) = 0.05x g(x) = (0.05)x Which statement best describes the graph of f(x) and g(x)? The graph of g(x) will eventually exceed the graph of f(x). The graph of f(x) will eventually exceed the graph of g(x). The graphs will both have their y-intercept equal to 1. The graphs will both have their y-intercept equal to 0.05

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

Is it \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ f(x)=0.05x}\) and \(\normalsize\color{blue}{ f(x)=0.05^x}\) ?

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

I mean the second one is g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

For statement A, the graph of g(x), as x→∞, the y→0, because it is going ot be a number less than 1, to a very big power. For B, True, it will. For C, g(x) will not have an intercept, because no exponent can make 0.05 equal to zero. For D, Not true the y-intercept of f(x) = 0, and the one of g(x)=1
